In this article today I want to cover a topic that I am very passionate about – Self Hypnosis. I want to cover two important points on Self Hypnosis so that you can understand the concept in more detail. Self-Hypnosis sparks many thoughts in many people and due to the fact that some of these thoughts are going to be misconception, some of the information here may surprise you. I really do hope that you enjoy and learn from what I have to say and maybe even start learning Self Hypnosis to achieve you goals and dreams in the future.

Can you really hypnotise yourself?

I was asked this question just the other week while doing an interview with a local BBC radio station. Funnily enough, this is the question that has been asked by a lot of people that have met me in the last few weeks. Well that answer is YES! In fact that state of hypnosis in natural and we actually use it everyday with out knowing. By knowing this we can ultimately harness that power of Hypnosis and use it to achieve things. See Hypnosis a bit about a daydream. Think of the last daydream that you had that really motivated you to do something. Maybe you were thinking about how great it would be to buy a certain product… And then you found yourself completely compelled and motivated to make your purchase – well that’s Hypnosis in action! Just imagine if you could learn to harness that to get a pay-rise or lose some weight.

Does using Self Hypnosis tape constitute Self Hypnosis?

Well… The quick answer is, NO, however let me explain why. There are two main types of Hypnosis – The first being ‘Operator Guided Hypnosis’ or OGH and the other being Self-Hypnosis. OGH is where there is an outside influence, such as with a tape, CD or Hypnotherapist. With this method you can’t take full control of what you want to achieve as you will want to follow the instructions given to you. Without the tape or any other aids (Self Hypnosis) you are able to guide yourself through your goals and desires. It also means that you don’t build a possible dependence on the tapes or CD’s. This doesn’t mean that tapes and CD’s are negative though, in fact quite that opposite! OGH is often needed for those that may find it hard to practice Self Hypnosis at first.

So there you have it. Did you learn anything? Do you have something that Self Hypnosis could help you with? Do you want to learn more? I sure hope so, because Self Hypnosis is an amazing tool that you can use to achieve goals that may seem truly impossible!

    self hypnosis? multi lucid dreams?
Hi, so i was just sleeping and i had a series of fairly short vivid dreams. I was in a state, in a drowsy state not fully asleep but semi asleep. I was really drunk the night before got some sleep but not much but here i was in this drowsy state in bed.

I was sleeping to be awakened by very realistic sounds coming from my head. When i closed my eyes after my head spinning a little i am seeing closed eyes hallucinations but these visions were forming into real faces, making actual figures in my head. This is not the first time and i just embrace it enjoy it for this does not happen very often.

Soon after these closed eyes hallucinations which are very much like the times i was high on a psychedelic drug called DXM which i took months back. But this time when i was trying to go back to sleep, i had lucid dreamed before i told my self "you know what go to sleep knowing you can wake up during your dream". Well anyway random thoughts run through my head while i try to sleep, i am sure this happens to everyone. However this time my thoughts turned into a dream reality, i would some how end up living my thoughts in first person which turned into a dream a lucid one. I could do anything however this did not last long around 20 seconds. I would wake up again.

This got me thinking, i remained calm i tried thinking of something i did earlier that day, inducing real life scenarios in my head, then i started rethinking scenarios in first person view. As if i were living it, yet again these thoughts that seemed so much real having eyes closed hallucinations before my imagination seemed off the chart in my head. I viewed myself in first person trying to catch every detail and yet again i fell into a dream state from my thoughts. However yes, me being some what perverted i fulfilled my sexual fantasies with girls i always wanted to be with.

Soon as i wake up from one lucid dream i had around 6-8 intervals of dreams. Next i would think about another scenario place my self in first person. The transistion is a wierd feeling i could actually feel my self entering a dream from a thought. I would get this urge of excitement and this good feeling, my heart rate would go up really fast i get all excited because i know i am dreaming.

I then started mentoring myself like a hypnosis would, i was telling myself ok describe the situation to your self, what are you doing for example: i would try to think of the most vivid, most detailed scene i could remember such as my work environment earlier that day. I would think about what i was doing for example cashier, then i would tell my self ok whos around you, then i would tell myself bring your self to first view, and imagine what you would be doing on a natural basis, continue to do the things you would do naturally at work. I did this in my head after mentoring and the more natural my thoughts i get this urge like a wave that sends me into my dream and bam i am dreaming. Things feel almost real as if i were touching them. I had a 50-70 % feel my heart would really be racing at this time.

Getting out of this state is not easy, its as though i am in a different trance, another dimension you could almost say and to escape it i would really have to try to force my head to get up or turn around. When i do its as though some force is pushing me down and eventually i get up.

Has any one heard of this? I mean i am assuming people have been through this. Especially in hypnotic treatments i see in the movie where they bring them back to their child hood, and the client starts freaking out because it becomes so real. And yes emotions play a high role in this, things could go real dark as i did see some scary things during this process which i tried to ignore and convert into good.

what are your thoughts? sorry for the long post

although i have never experienced that before, it sounds really really awesome. although when i do get really tired, i sometimes have close eyed hallucinations. i thought i might add: dxm is actually the chemical in your brain that makes you dream, so it would make sense that your experiences would be similar

The dream world might well be another dimension. Some drugs can open up psychic portals in the mind (not that I agree with drugs, there are dangers) and show you other realities.Caution is that some people never actually come back again, and their existence becomes hellish. Its whatever those scary things, dark, in your post that alerts me to say just be careful.

First of all: Drugs are bad mmkay?
First of all, DXM and DMT are chemicals that are released in your brain naturally when you sleep. You do not realize this, however you dream everytime you sleep, and everytime you sleep you are on a trip. That trip being very similar to taking DXM, the only difference, you take a large dosis of DXM and are high for only about max. 20 minutes. But when you sleep less of the chemical is release for a longer time though. Its very similar though.
Now there are several possibilities in your case as to why you are having these events happen to you. You might be experiencing flashbacks, people who have taken acid regularly experience this rarely and i dont think this is the case here. I do however believe this:
People from my country (tribesmen) often take their dreams seriously so when they wake up from a dream that seemed very important to them they would use a concentrated dosis of DMT to experience the "full-ness" of the dream. This is however done by spiritual people only. They often describe it as acheiving the next level and stepping on the next plateu when you take DXM to fully understand their dreams.

I think what you should do is take a break off of ALL drugs, including alchohol (far more dangerous than everyone thinks) its the marijuana of the 1920’s. Then use a lesser amount of DXM and go to sleep. You will thank me for this in a week.
