Working an employment after another is the working culture in Singapore. We lived once only. We saved enough. We plan enough to sustain the loss of income for a career break. Problem is: will Singapore Employers be forgiving and grant equal opportunity for career breakers? Singapore Employers your view please.
Yes. I noticed that too, if you take a career break for personal development, they will surely ask why. At the same time they will have doubts about your stress level.
My opinion is that you go for your personal development once you are ready make sure that you are getting back into the same line as you are previously in. If you do a total switch, they will surely doubt about your abilities and at the same time will try to pay you as little as possible because you might not have the relevant experience which i do think that its totally ridiculous because not every experience is stand alone.

well, It depend. Not all Employers are like that.
for example, i have to go to Uni and disappear from the working society for 4 years. By the time I go back, I have to restart everything.
If you meet someone like that (maybe during interview), maybe you didn’t even want to work there.

Time have changed. Earth more crowded. Resources less. Everyone competing for smaller share. It means less holidays and working forever. The only way to take a break is to quit your job, go for a long break and start over.
